Mixed bag...One the positive the garlic rolls are very tasty. On the negative sometimes I've personally received items not fresh/with mold forming. The first time this happened was in a cup of tomato dip that came with the cheese sticks. The second time was tonight one of our side salads had a very soggy tomato with fuzz growing and white slime....pretty gross. The pizza when fresh is good, I guess just avoid the sides. I'm giving only star due to being grossed out

I was craving a small lunch and decided this pizza place would fit the bill. With the single slice option it allowed my Dad and I to get the toppings / slices we each wanted and not have to share a pizza between us. I ordered one slice of margarita and one specialty with fig and prosciutto. My dad had a glass of wine and I had a bottle of sweet tea. The pizzas were delivered to us outside as we dined on the patio. The margarita topping pizza was barely warm and the cheese was not melted at all. The bottom of the pizza was basically dough as it was missing any toppings and only had a very light smearing of sauce. I only took one bite and decided it wasn't worth eating. I don't know if it would have been better as a fresh slice instead of reheated but it was not worth ordering or eating. The fig and prosciutto was good though. The fig wasn't strong and only tasted it in a few bites. The prosciutto was nice and crisp. That may have come from the reheating however. As far as a 'by the slice' spot goes this was ok. If I ate here again I would go for a pizza freshly made instead of the reheated slice. Dining outside was a nice option as they had a large number of patio tables / seating. Restroom was clean.

We were down in the keys for my hubby birthday ,we ordered three slices of pepperoni pizza and a pepperoni calzone , when we first walked in the staff was sitting on a little couch by the register talking never said any thing to us , we ordered our food then went and sat down they brought by he slides to the table it was like old cheese slices of cheese pizza that they tossed a couple pieces of pepperoni on and sprinkled some extra cheese on top and reheated it , if we weren't so hungry we would of sent it back lucky for them it was our last day on the trip we were sunburnt and extremely tired and hungry , then the calzone came out that seemed like it was freshly baked it was big and crispy and pretty good , we didn't get silverware till after we asked for a to go box but we ripped it apart with our hands , I hope you have better luck here than us , next time we know to eat three keys down lol or hold out a little longer but with us not being from the area we thought better eat now or remain hungry anyways next time we will just get a calzone

We were looking for a pizza place away from downtown. This place fit the bill, being situated in a strip mall there was plenty of hassle free and free parking. We ordered a gourmet slice and a pie both came out in a very reasonable amount of time. The pizza was very good, it passed the crust test, hold up a slice bent in the middle then look at the end does it droop? This did not, a perfect crispy crust. The flavor was very good as well. This is a counter service place, the ladies behind the counter were all very friendly and helpful. This is a new go to place when we want pizza while on vacation.

Yummy pizza, unique flavors. It's pretty delicious and tasty. Try it out. Get the buffalo chicken pizza or shrimp scampi pizza. Also, fresh cannolis I'm in love.

I'm a pizza connoisseur, I've eaten pizza all over the USA, Canada, and Europe and this is my #1! This place should be in New York, Big John's Pizza would have them running to improve their best. LOL! The food is "AMAZING", the staff is Super Nice, the Restaurant's Décor is Beautiful with all the little details that make it such a Wonderful place to bring anyone and everyone. Did I mention the food is "AMAZING"? I'm going on Trip Advisor.com and brag some more. Best Mini Vacation for myself and Hubby, and Big John's Pizza was the cherry that took it over the top. PS: We got another large to go on our way back to Miami. LOL!!

What made this place awful was the service. The girl behind the counter was rude and impatient and seemed to take pride in being so. I suppose it was clear that we weren't locals and they seem to take pride in being "where the locals go" but we really found it off putting and it ruined our night. On top of that the food was just ok. The pasta was overlooked, the bolognese sauce sweet and the pizza sat like a brick in the stomach. I know there is not a lot of choice around here but places like this frustrate us, like they are taking advantage of people having very little choice. If you do have to eat here, definitely don't get the salads. We had three all ones and they were all terrible,

I was on the way to the airport and stopped here because it had high ratings for something fast and local. Did not disappoint! I had a slice of the BBQ Chicken and the Veggies each, both were delicious! Exactly what I needed as I face a whole day in airports and lay-overs.

Poor effort w ham and pineapple thin crust. The crust was soggy and toppings fell from every slice. Pricing for a medium was same as I would normally pay for a large. Thought an independent would prove better than a chain. Never again for Big Johns. Major disappointment.

best Italian food I've had in a while ! I was visiting Key West with a friend of mine for her graduation. While stuck in our hotel room taking our boaters license test, we came across an ad for this pizza place, 'where the locals go'. Offered a large range of food from appetizers and pasta to pizzas and dessert. Free delivery to our hotel room and arrived within 20 minutes ! We ended up with a cheese pizza, garlic knots, and a slice of cheesecake for dessert; everything was delicious ! For under 20 bucks we were very impressed ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

One of the best pizza places I have been ever. I asked for my pizza to be well done as I like the crust to be crunchy, it was perfect. The pizza was not greasy at all and super crispy. Next time I'm in key west ill be hitting this place for lunch and dinner. Double thumbs up!!!

I just don't get the other reviews. We ordered the BBQ pizza and it was awesome. The pizza had a ton of toppings a great crust and was very well done. We also had it delivered and the driver was quick. I say give them a shot if you want a pretty good pizza. It's not a Chicago style deep dish and it's not a New Yorkers dream but all in all a very good pizza.

Hubby wanted pizza tonight so he decided on Big Johns. As a local, I REALLY hate that it's so hit and miss with Big Johns. When it's good, it's reeaaallly good. But when it's bad.. It's bad! Ordering process was a breeze. The girl taking the order kept things flowing. He ordered a large half cheese half buffalo chicken ranch pizza, a Caesar salad, and fried shrimp. Girl said it would be about 40 minutes, it was more like an hour. Delivery guy was friendly. Pizza was paper thin and super greasy. On their best days the pizza is hot, crispy, and topped perfectly. Not tonight. The Caeser salad tasted like soap. I don't if it was the dressing or what but neither of us could eat it. This is the first time that's happened to us. Fried shrimp were OK. Get it together Big Johns!

We came here hungry and we left pretty damn stuffed. We stumbled upon this place while we were biking around the Island. They took awhile to bring out my husband's stuffed slice. He felt the pizza was a little salty, I liked it because I like my food saltier sometimes. I ordered a cappuccino and was hoping they'd bring it out earlier but I had to ask them for it. Our customer service from the girls behind the counter was decent but they forgot about my cappuccino and didn't seem overly enthusiastic to help us. The cappuccino was also just okay, nothing special but not horrid either.

Island Pizza I'm used to Chicago pizza so I think that may have tainted my taste buds. It is NOT BAD pizza at all. I just prefer a zestier tomato sauce. Also, our delivery driver seemed impatient because he knocked and literally knocked again ten seconds later. He was kinda douchey but whatever. Still, decent pizza but nothing to write home about. They deliver and are open late.

I feel like there must have been some oversight on the menu. I ordered the stuffed shells. Came out to $9something with a water... I got two little shells, about 4 bites, and my friend got the chicken parm for the same price and had a full plate of food. I swallowed my pride and went back and ordered chicken fingers APPETIZER and got more about three times the amount of food than my entree. All in all it was OK food, but I just spent $20 on an OK tasting lunch...which is less than awesome. I feel like i got taken for a ride. Won't be returning.

The prosciutto/fig pizza was a perfect balance of salty and sweet with a nice proportion of mozzarella cheese. I could have eaten two more! The buffalo chicken pizza was drizzled with ranch dressing to cool down the slight spicy kick. The crust reminded me of home (NYC). Next on my list to truism the pesto/bacon slice .... Probably later tonight! Highly recommend this joint! I'll be taking a pie back on the return to Miami.

Value here is horrible. Portions here are larger than your other options in Key West, however you are paying more than what the portions are worth! Very greasy, and very pricey pizza, just not worth it. The lackluster customer service that you receive from the ladies working the counter doesn't make it a desirable place for me to recommend, or get my business.

Big John's is yet another locals type place I keep ending up at. The pizza is good, and there are plenty of choices, even if you want to go by the slice. My only gripe here is that they use styrofoam cups, paper plates, and plasticware, even for dine-in. C'mon people... this all goes to the landfill! You might think that people in the Keys might be a little more aware, since they have to ship everything in from the mainland that they'd realize it all has to be shipped out..... And, *if* you're going to use plasticware, use something good... My friend's daughter was giving me grief because I was using a knife and fork on my 'zaa. Then, of course, my fork broke and cut me, much to the amusement of my loving and caring friends. Really... it seriously sliced my finger open. I couldn't believe it.... I'd just spend 8 days on an expedition in pretty rough seas without more than a few scratches. Once we're "safely" back in port, I gouge my hand with a wrench, tear a nail on some window framing, and then injure myself with a plastic fork -- all in three hours time!

Was looking for some casual Italian food to be delivered and Big John's had decent reviews so we gave 'em a try. Big mistake. Although their website says "Pizza, Pasta and Subs" the pasta dishes were among the worst we've ever had. Overcooked to the point that all the pasta, meat and veggies were basically mush. Bland, no flavor, no sauce at all except for the lowest quality canned garlic mush I've ever seen. All the dishes were bland and Americanized. No Italian has ever set foot in this place. It is low quality ingredients for tourists. To top it all off, Big John's, primarily a PIZZA DELIVERY PLACE for tourists at hotels, does not send their drivers with ANY parmesan cheese or crushed red pepper (both of which are desperately needed to give this food any taste). . When I placed my order, I specifically asked that they bring red pepper and the bubble-headed gal that took my order was like yeah, yeah, whatever. When I called the manager to ask what happened, he said they only bring cheese or pepper when requested, which I did. Let me get this straight, you are a pizza delivery place and you dont send your drivers with parmesan or red pepper? HELLO MCFLY!!!!!!!!! We visit Key West often and WILL NOT be ordering or visiting this place ever again. Pizza Hut pan pizza (down the street) was better.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country.
